The Good News
The best news anyone will receive is the news of eternal life. We receive eternal life when we are saved from sin. Everyone who desires to be saved (to have eternal life) will ask this question: “What must I do to be saved?”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
Am I Good or Am I a Sinner?
Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Sin’s Price and God’s Provision
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ out Lord.”
Romans 5:8 “But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
My Choice
Romans 10:9-11 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.”
I Must Call
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Now, may I ask you the question “What must I do to be saved?” If you realized that you are a sinner and that ONLY Christ can save you, would you do the following:
- Repent of your sin (turn away from it);
- Pray and ask Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior;
- Now be willing to confess Him before men.
